on loving god
January 31, 2009As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:38-42
So easy to serve God instead of loving God. God help me choose what is better.
Not out of compulsion or guilt, but love.
Dear Markus,
You choose wisely. To love Jesus is the better choice. I guess God loved you too much for the regular 80 year lifespan and decided that he wanted you home soonest at 23 years of age!
Keep watching for us, we might take a little longer but we have you refreshing and thought provoking questions to remind us that HEAVEN IS SO REAL.
May the Lord grant peace to David, Peter, your mom and your dad. Your love for Malaysia was encouraging, your love for God is inspiring! See you in the fullness of his time.
We will chat for a very long time together then
